Jalapeño Cheddar Pretzels

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups Warm water 110-115 degrees
- 2 1/4 tsp Yeast 1/4oz package
- 2 tbsp Salted butter melted
- 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 4 cups Unbleached AP Flour
- 2 cups Cheedar Cheese Shredded
- 1/2 cup Jalapeños diced
- 4 tbsp Butter melted
- Jalapeño Slices for topping
Boiling Solution
- 6 cups Water
- 1/2 cup Baking soda
Instructions
Pretzel Dough
- In a large mixing bowl add yeast and brown sugar.
- Pour warm water into mixing bowl with yeast and sugar.
- Allow yeast to bloom 5 minutes.
- Stir in melted butter, and slowly add flour until dough ball starts to form.
- Knead dough for 8 minutes, folding in cheddar and jalapeños.
- When your dough is nicely kneaded, place in large greased bowl. Cover and set aside to rise for an hour or until doubled in size.
- Remove dough from bowl and punch down. Divide dough into 12 sections, roll into pretzel shape. Set aside.
Boiling solution
- Bring water and baking soda to a small boil.
- Place pretzels in two at a time and boil for 45 seconds on each side. Remove and place in baking sheet.
- Brush boiled pretzels with melted butter, and top with sliced jalapeños.
- Bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve with your favorite dip.
